Ian Buchanan was born in Hamilton, Scotland in 1957. His television career began in the U. S. in the late 1980s with his role of Ian McFyfer in It's Garry Shandling's Show. In the early 1990s he played Dick Tremayne in Twin Peaks. He is best known for playing Dr. James Warwick in the U. S. soap The Bold and the Beautiful, from 1993. He won an Emmy for this role in 1997. He also played Dr. Greg Madden in All my children from 2005-06.
